SERVICE 03 / WEBSITE CHATBOTS

AI chatbot for website enquiries, built on your own approved answers

An AI chatbot for website visitors answers their questions from information your business has approved and passes anything it cannot answer to a person, with the visitor's contact details if they leave them. It tells visitors it is automated. We set these up remotely from Lahore for small businesses in the UK, Europe, the Gulf and Pakistan.

01

What is an AI chatbot for a website?

An AI chatbot for a website is a chat window where visitors type a question and get a written answer. An AI model reads the question however it is worded, then replies from information you have approved: your services, opening hours, the prices you choose to share, your policies and how to reach you. It does not search the open internet.

When that information covers a question, the chatbot can reply, even outside your working hours. When it does not, or the question needs a person, the chatbot says so, asks for the visitor's name and contact details and passes the enquiry to you.

02

What does a website chatbot conversation look like?

An invented example, not a real client: a driving school's website at 22:10.

Chatbot: Hello, I am an automated assistant.

Visitor: Do you do Saturday lessons?

Chatbot: Yes, on Saturday mornings. You can book on the contact page.

Visitor: How much is a block of ten?

Chatbot: I do not have that price, so someone at the school will reply. Can I take your name and number?

03

Who is a website chatbot for?

A customer service chatbot suits small businesses that field the same few questions over and over. What time do you open? Do you cover my area? A driving school gets them every week. So does a mobile mechanic who covers a handful of towns.

It also suits owners who answer messages themselves, late, after the day's work, and lose people who give up waiting.

04

Why do small businesses add a chatbot to their website?

One reason is missed enquiries. Someone on your site on a Sunday cannot find an answer and will not fill in a form and wait. A chatbot can answer from what you have supplied, and pass anything else to you on Monday if they leave their details.

The other is time. If you or your staff answer the same questions all day, the chatbot can answer many of them.

05

How do you add an AI chatbot to a website?

We do it in five steps, remotely, and you decide what the chatbot says.

  1. A short conversation

On WhatsApp or by email, we agree what the chatbot answers and declines, where enquiries go, and where conversations and contact details are kept and who can see them. We also check that your website can take a chat window.

  2. Your answers

We write up your website, price list and policies as plain answers. You correct them and decide which prices, if any, it may quote.

  3. Build and connect

We set up the assistant, its opening message saying it is automated, and the handover, then add the chat window to your site.

  4. Test with you

We test it with the kinds of questions your customers ask, including some it should decline. You read the answers, we make the changes you want, and it goes live only when you approve.

  5. Go live

The chat window appears on your site, and enquiries arrive where we agreed. When your hours or prices change, the answers need updating too, so we agree at the start who does that.

06

When is a website chatbot worth it, and when is it not?

A website chatbot is worth it when enquiries arrive outside your working hours, or when the same questions take up part of every day.

It is probably not worth it yet if few people visit your website. A chatbot on a page nobody finds answers nobody, so fix the website and your Google Business Profile first. It is also the wrong tool if most enquiries need a professional judgement (medical, legal, immigration, visa, tax or financial questions), or if nobody will follow up the enquiries it passes on.

07

What is included in a website chatbot set-up?

The work includes:

  • Agreeing what the chatbot answers and declines
  • Writing up your content with you
  • An opening message saying it is an automated assistant
  • Handover to a person, with the visitor's question and any contact details they leave
  • Adding the chat window to your website
  • Replies in English, Spanish, Urdu, Arabic or French (all automated; we check English and Urdu ourselves)
  • Testing with you before launch
08

What we do not do

No chatbot is right every time. Ours are set up to answer only from content you have checked and to hand the rest to a person, but they can still get things wrong.

  • We do not set chatbots up to give medical, legal, immigration, visa, tax or financial advice.
  • We make no promises about how many questions it will answer, or about leads or sales.
  • It does not replace your staff. Someone still has to answer the enquiries it passes on.
  • The chatbot is never presented as a person.
  • WhatsApp assistants we set up use only the official WhatsApp Business Platform, with customer opt-in. We do not set up bulk or unsolicited messaging.
09

How much does a website chatbot cost?

The cost has two parts: a one-off fixed price for the set-up, and the running cost of the AI service behind the chatbot, often linked to how many conversations it handles. We do not publish prices. After a short conversation we send a fixed-scope quote, invoiced by Al-Harram Corporation, and explain the running costs before you agree to anything.

The set-up price depends mostly on:

  • How much information there is to write up and check
  • How many languages the chatbot answers in
  • Where enquiries should go (your email, or a system you already use)
  • How your website is built, and whether we built it
  • Whether you want us to update the content after launch
10

Which languages can the chatbot answer in?

The chatbot can answer in English, Spanish, Urdu, Arabic and French. We check English and Urdu answers ourselves. No native speaker on our side checks the Spanish, Arabic or French answers, so if those languages matter to your customers, have someone fluent read a sample before launch. We work with you in English or Urdu.

Q&A

Questions and answers

Can I add ChatGPT to my website, or do I need something else?

Yes, you can connect a general AI model to a website, but on its own it may make up an opening time or a price. A useful website chatbot needs your own information to answer from and a person to hand over to. That is what we build.

Does a chatbot on my website have to say it is a bot?

If your website serves people in the EU, yes. Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act has required that people are told they are dealing with an AI system unless that is obvious. We build the disclosure into every chatbot we set up, wherever you are based. Ask your own adviser about your privacy notice and other obligations.

Do I need to change my website to add a chatbot?

Usually not. We add the chat window to the site you already have, and if it is built on something that does not allow one, we tell you before any work starts. If you only have an Instagram page, we can build a website first, or an assistant on the official WhatsApp Business Platform may suit you better.

Which AI chatbot is best for a small business website?

There is no single best one. If you are happy to configure software yourself, a self-serve builder may be enough. If you want someone to write the answers with you and add the chatbot to your site, a chatbot development service like ours is the other route.

How long does it take to set up an AI chatbot for a website?

Most of the time goes into writing your answers and checking them with you, so the launch date depends mainly on how quickly you review the drafts. The chatbot goes live only after you approve its answers, and our fixed-scope quote includes a timeline.

Can you set up a website chatbot for a UK business from Lahore?

Yes. Everything is done remotely: we agree the answers with you on WhatsApp or by email, add the chat window to your site and test it with you before it goes live. Al-Harram Corporation is a sole proprietorship in Lahore, registered with Pakistan's tax authority (FBR). Reach us on WhatsApp at +92 322 1430630 or by email at info@alharramcorporation.com.
